Welcome to Stampin2Die 4!

My name is Susan, and I am an independent Stampin’ Up demonstrator.  I joined this company because my experience with their products has been such a good one!  As an avid, long-time card maker and scrapbooker, I have invested in some (read as “a lot of”) stamping, die cutting, printing, foiling, and other assorted pieces of equipment.  Stampin’ Up provides us with some of the best equipment and supplies that I’ve used.

I am now located in New Hampshire, in the lovely city of Keene.  However, I have spent most of my life (from college graduation eons ago until 2018) in the great state of Rhode Island and the Providence Plantations.  (Yes.  That is its official name.)

A new job got me to New Hampshire a couple of years ago – and it is easy to fall in love with the forests and the mountains here.  With a view of Mount Monadnock from my window, I can see this beautiful place and enjoy the change of seasons easily.  Even better is the community that lives here!  I have made close friends (including my best friend) and many wonderful associates in that short amount of time.

When you come home to New Hampshire, you’ve come home!

I live in this beautiful place with my two rescue “pups” – Belle (age 16 or 17, she won’t tell) and Bree (short for Sabrina and aged 12).  These two fill my home and my heart!

The other ones who fill my heart but are off on their own are my two children – Katie, a school psychologist living in southern Illinois and Alex, a civil engineer who is still living and working in Rhode Island.  I was blessed with two amazing children and our times together are truly a blessing.  Even though we are spread across the country, we are a very close threesome.  We are together as often as possible and almost always at the holidays.  Our circle is a small one for sure – and we still feel the hole that was left by the loss of my mom in 2019.  She is no longer with us here…but she still fills our hearts!

“Nana”

I have spent most of my adult life as a CPA and a finance officer in mostly not-for-profit companies.  But I have always had that “side hustle” as a teacher in both online and face to face college courses.  I love accounting – but teaching is my passion!

Stampin’ Up encourages me to pursue that passion by providing me with some of the best products on the market.  My job is to show you how to get started and how to explore that creative side of you.

My mission is to bring you fresh ideas and how-tos that will let you express your love for the lucky recipients of your cards, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned papercrafter. And to get them into their hands…not left unfinished in your craft space!

So many of us regret never letting someone know how much they mean to us.  Let them know with a card that you’ve designed just for them.  What is more loving than time spent?

Do you want to explore your creative side?  I would be delighted to help you, to answer any questions, or to help you explore some of the amazing products that we offer.  Contact me anytime!

Need a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator?  It would be a privilege to help you with that too!

Hi, Mary – Thanks so much for visiting my blog! I’m so excited to get started and find my “peeps”! Lots of busy folks who would love to do this but just don’t know where to start…like I was not long ago.

“Welcome” to New Hampshire. Although I grew up wandering the world as my father served a career in the Air Force, when he retired he moved us to New Hampshire where I attended high school in Wolfeboro and college in Manchester. I’ve been living in Georgia for 44 years but I still think of New Hampshire as home (my father and his ancestors are from the Canterbury area). And every chance I get, I visit my old stomping grounds. Enjoy!

Hi, Mary – Thank you so much for visiting my blog! Although I’m new to New Hampshire, it is just a beautiful place with so many nice people! And incredibly polite drivers!

Wolfeboro is a beautiful area – and much more mountainous that the west side of the state. However, we do have Mount Monadnock and some beautiful rolling hills!

I’m delighted – and honored – that you’ve visited me here! Please be sure to stop by periodically as I am hoping to inspire my sisters (and brothers) in cardmaking to do more and get more cards done! It has always been my biggest frustration to have all these ideas but never get them completed and ready to go! – Susan

Hi Susan, this is my first visit to your page. I was looking at Amy K’s email regarding 30 projects from Inkin’ Crew featured artists and saw your card and that you live in Keene. Reading your bio I see we have quite a bit in common. I am NH born, raised and educated, lived in RI for several years (met my husband there and both of our children were born there), my husband is a retired CPA, fur babies and hooved critters are a big part of my life and card making is one of my very happy places especially due to Stampin’ Up products (so much so that I became a hobby demonstrator for the many perks). All the best to you and I’ll visit your page often.

Hi, Susan – If you are married to Dick Showalter, we are far more connected than just the parallel tracks of Rhode Island and New Hampshire! (I suspect that I am correct as I am also a CPA from Rhode Island with a looooong work history in health care!)

If that’s the case, I have the most wonderful story to share about your amazing husband and how he set my career on a wonderful path! And you must be an equally amazing lady, as like is attracted to like!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog, Susan!
