As I confessed in yesterday’s post, I truly missed Valentine’s Day in favor of some of my other creative endeavors – or my attempts. (Playing with paper has turned into a very time-consuming pursuit…especially with all my starts and stops…)
As I was looking at my latest goodies that were delivered yesterday in my latest Stampin’ Up! order, it occurred to me that the adorable Stampin Up! Hello Ladybug bundle would make cute little presentation cards for small chocolate hearts.
I ran out to the store to find an appropriately sized candy – and, voila! Dove Milk Chocolate Hearts looked perfect! I came home with a bag of about 36 candies.
It’s quick and easy – and what a fun little treat for the kids in your children’s class, or their teachers, brownie or cub scout troops, teams – or maybe your team at work. These are quick, quick, quick – and if you already have the Hello Ladybug bundle, you are good to go!
I stamped the ladybug bodies on strips of Basic White cardstock and punched them out. Then I punched the same number of Polished Pink cardstock wings. Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the ladybug spots on the wings and then assembled the wings.
Using double sided tape, I adhered the Dove Chocolate Hearts to the ladybug bodies, and I was done! It hardly took an hour for 3 dozen little candy ladybugs.
Did you know that a group of ladybugs is called a “bloom”? I didn’t either – but there you are…
Thanks for indulging me in this quick little projects! I hope that you might enjoy making some of these in the nick of time!!
So adorable!
Thanks, Deanette!
Oh my goodness! How cute are those little ladybugs?!? Love them! 🙂
Brilliant!! Super cute idea.
Thanks so much, Sue! And simple as can be – the stamp and punch does all the heavy lifting!
These are so stinkin’ adorable! And clever as all get out! 🙂
Just love these, Mary! But my daughter said that I should have called them “Love Bugs” – I agree… Thanks so much!
How clever is this! Super cute!
Thanks, Carol! Who doesn’t love a Love Bug?
