Nothing’s Better Than a Triple Easel Card

This is such a cute card that works for all options in the Stampin’ Up! Nothing’s Better Than Bundle!  In fact, I was able to create multiple cards from this single set.  And I am thrilled to report that the “Day without Chocolate” card is featured as my Guest Designer card on the Anything Goes with a Fun Fold For Creative Creases #31

These are fun cards for a special person who you are sure will display this VERY display-worthy card!

Want to get started?  Here are the paper cuts:

*I used the Stampin’ Up! Sunshine and Rainbows paper pack, which I now see is no longer available.  However, there are a number of other paper packs that would work just as well, with designs that are formatted well for these smaller pieces.  Stampin’ Up! Abstract Beauty and Sweet Talk would be good choices.

When I am working with a design that has so many pieces, I like to lay them out so that I am sure that I have everything.  It also lets me look at the pieces and the directions being to make sense.

As with many card designs, this is one that has many layers and you can start to build them up so that they are ready for the final assembly.

Using the 4” x 5” card stock for the base, all of the layers will be attached to this.  I also added the Basic White card stock panel on the back to write my own messages.

Fold and burnish the 4” x 12” panel as indicated in the chart.

Repeat this process with the smaller Stampin’ Up! Basic White card stock strips.

Once the folded panels are done, adhere the decorative layers to the top layer and the interior layer.

I used the candies portion of the die set for the chocolate card and the cute cocktail glass dies for the other card.  I colored the images in and applied Stampin’ Up! Fine Tip Glue Pen to coat them.  This great glue dries so shiny and adds a lot of dimension to the decorations.

I created sentiment layers for each of the layers using the Nothing’s Better Than stamp set.  They read “A Day Without”, “Is Like, ummm…” and “Just Kidding, I have no Idea.”  Using the word dies that are also included in the bundle, cut the Chocolate or Cocktails or Coffee) if you go the coffee route!) and adhere it to the largest layer.

When the card is pulled out of the envelope, the recipient will see what A Day Without…looks like!

Each layer serves as the kickstand for the next larger layer and the “Just Kidding” sentiment holds up the smallest layer.

And you’re done!

Please let me know if you have any questions.  I used these directions a couple of times to be sure that they are clear – but you may not find them that way.  If not, please ask me a question and I’ll be glad to clarify, edit, rewrite, etc.

Oh, Amy, thank you so much! I love these little cards and I’ve started to make a few more as they work for so many folks and their minor addictions to coffee and chocolate – and that occasional colorful and exotic cocktail! I think that SU rocked this one.
