Stitched Greenery that’s Full of Love

I have mentioned those hidden gems in every annual and mini catalog from Stampin’ Up!  And here is another design that features one of those – actually two of them:  Stampin’ Up! Full of Love Stamp Set and the Stitched Greenery Die

I have been exploring the Full of Love stamps in this post and a few others.  But the Stitched Greenery die is different than most of the Stampin’ Up! die collection.  It does not create a freestanding image.  Instead, it creates an intricate embossed texture in the card stock.  It adds a richness to any card.  It’s a great detail feature.

This is another card that is a fairly clean and simple.  But the embossed leafy background texture and stitched detail in the center medallion add richness but not clutter to the design.

There are only a few card cuts for this one – but it doesn’t take away from the richness of the design:

I stamped the letter and flowers image from the Stampin’ Up! Full of Love stamp set, using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  (Ok, you know perfectly well that I stamped a bunch of these so that I could make a bunch of cards at once!)  I used several different color combinations for the coloring.  However, this card used Sweet Sorbet, Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia, and Soft Succulent.  But there is a world of color combinations that you might like better – brights, more pastels, or a combination.  Stampin’ Up! provides lots and lots of possibilities.

Instead of fussy cutting on this card, I die cut the floral design using the largest circle die from the Stylish Shapes die set.  I love the embossed dotted border and it is a great match to the Stitched Greenery background.  (This might be a good time to do that embossing, using the 4” x 5-1/4” Basic White cardstock panel.)

I also stamped and heat embossed a scrap of Basic Black cardstock with white embossing powder so that the sentiment will “pop”.  The Stylish Shapes die set also provided the banner die for this design!

I assembled the card face, mounted it to the Basic White Cardstock base and, voila, a card!

Some bling added to the design.  I used Rhinestone Basic Gems for some sparkle on the medallion and the sentiment banner.

And that’s it!  A crisp, pretty card to say hello and connect with a friend.  I think that this is another good candidate for a gift set if you are looking to do these.  (Remember that card sets are not only great gifts but also excellent contributions for fundraisers and other events.  I used to get roped into these a lot when my kids were young!)

Thanks so much for stopping in to see today’s design!  I’m hoping that you’ve enjoyed seeing a bunch of different designs using the same stamp set.  I want to highlight just how versatile our Stampin’ Up! collections can be!

Here is a list of the products that I used for this version of Full of Love – but remember that your own touches with other products that appeal to you in particular:
